Location: Seymour, WI | Can a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor that was previously setup in a larger boat running 2 12 volt batteries in series be run with just a single 12 volt battery?
It would be getting moved to a much smaller lighter boat.
Thanks, |

Location: E. Tenn | If there's currently two 12V batteries connected in series, then your Terrova is a 24V. So, No.. |

Location: oswego, il | No, as stated you have a 24v trolling motor. If you are keeping the tm then find a way to put two batteries up front. |

| Unless you are running a 12' boat or smaller , I'd always have a 24v, anything over 18.5' go 36v.

| Maybe look at a single, 24volt lithium battery? You will have twice the power and less weight than a single 12 volt lead acid battery in a package that is the same size as one regular battery. |

Really a good suggestion. Had not looked at 24 V lithium but that sure looks like the way to go if space and weight are a concern. One maker even touted their battery as the way to go with a kayak trolling motor. |
