I picked this up recently at a sale. I was told this is a George Wahl Eagle Tail top water lure.
The lure is approximately 13 inches long and the wood body is around 2 7/8 inches long. The blade does have an Eagle Tail sticker on it.
I have several Eagle Tail bucktails but did not realize there was a top water. Any idea when this was made? Thanks.

Mr. Wahl was a great guy. It does look like his build. His loop on each end of his baits were large, such as this lure. Probably Mid 80’s….guessing.

It is what it says it is. I remember when those were available, I'm thinking mid to later 90's. There were several other lures similar in design but they didn't work the best. Not enough flotation to stay on top real well.

Still looks like eagle tails are being made but like not that. That’s a collector.

I have a old 1991 Thorne Bothers Catalog and it's not in there, I do have a couple In-Fisherman video's from 94 and 97 with have this type of lure. Not sure if it's a Eagletail or a knock off. (the knock off's have trebles) If it's not one of the sponsored lure you don't get a good look.
