Looking for people’s thoughts on the Premiere PM90XHF. I’m considering getting one and putting a Thanx 500PG on it for ripping rubber and cranks. I’ve already got a big nasty and a big dawg for comparison but they are both split grips and beat up the ribs pretty good.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

St Croix Rubber Rod is awesome. However, the Tranx I put on it is a huge disappointment. First reel to have the level wind ice up and stop working in the fall when others (like older Calcuttas) keep grinding through the freezing temps. Great warm weather reel, but a POS in freezing temps.

I use a 8.6 and just got a 9 for rubber. I love them. Musky shop shield rod is great for it too. I run a lexa 400hd on them for rubber. Have had great luck with them. Will run to tranx next time I have a blow up. They always felt a bit bulky and heavy to me.
