Are you seeing the prices the deer hair beavers are bringing on the trade boards!!!
I don't have any of the current beaver baits with the synthetic hair,,heard this and that about them,,wondering what your opinions and experiences with the new ones are?

The people buying them are probably the same people that were shelling out $100 for a dadson.

I have no problem catching fish on new beavers.

The synthetic ones pick up a ton of water...I need to wear rain gear when running the boat. They do catch fish though.

Lol, so true on the water cannon that the synthetic hair blasts. But yeah, they work just fine for their intended purpose.

Howdy,

Which boards? I have six of the original size and six of the smaller ones that have never been cast that I’ve been using as ballast on the boat.

Take care,

I don't think it matters much. The bait works the same in the water and in my brief experience the fish respond similarly. The first time out with a synthetic I caught a 48. IMO, the hair hype is the same irrational combination of exclusivity and nostalgia you see with a lot of other baits. As far as I'm concerned, it's a good thing - any hair beavers you might have have appreciated in value 2x!

I have only ever thrown the synthetic beavers and a black mid size beaver with a orange tail is my number 1 producing bait so far this year. I don’t know if the hair ones are better but I know the modern ones catch a lot of fish and have great action

You guy's got me thinking! Went and looked at my two Beaverbaits and I got one of each. I also have one that has a Jitterbug head. The jitterbug is a piece of crap even though it has real Deer hair. I wonder if there's a way to put the real Deer hair on the Jitterbug?
