Does anyone know if an unvaxxed person can legally fish the Canadian side of lotw? I see there’s no reporting to Canada for entering like it always was before. Question is, can a person boat across the big pond to their resort in the angle and then fish daily in Canada without touching land? Unvaccinated of course. Please don’t debate vaxxed vs unvaxxed. Thanks for any info

This web site indicates travel to Canada is prohibited if not vaccinated: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/pb-pp-eng.html#s2_2 (Scroll down the "Foreign National" section).

I copied and pasted the pertinent info below. The first sentence in the "not fully vaccinated" section is "Travel to Canada is still prohibited for foreign nationals who do not qualify as fully vaccinated."

Fully vaccinated foreign nationals
Fully vaccinated foreign nationals who land on Canadian soil, anchor, moor or come alongside another boat in Canadian waters:

must report to the CBSA
must be admissible under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
are subject to all of Canada’s COVID-19 border and health requirements
If you enter Canadian waters for leisure and touring, including pleasure fishing or sightseeing (known as loop movements), you are not required to report to the CBSA as long as the boat does not land on Canadian soil, anchor, moor or come alongside another boat in Canadian waters.

Foreign national boaters who do not qualify as fully vaccinated
Travel to Canada is still prohibited for foreign nationals who do not qualify as fully vaccinated.

If you enter Canadian waters for leisure and touring, including pleasure fishing, sightseeing and other discretionary purposes (known as loop movements), you are not required to report to the CBSA as long as the boat does not land on Canadian soil, anchor, moor or come alongside another boat in Canadian waters.
