I will be staying home on the Moen Chain. Be a little different this year in that while out looking for crappie yesterday evening, still not seeing any emergent vegetation in areas where it normally is for the opener. The SI showed the lily pads are forming down on the bottom but doubt there will be much green by Saturday.

I'm going to head down to the local boat ramp this weekend with a camp chair, a cooler, and a camera..

Let the boat ramp follies begin!

I also anticipate infiltrating the "Cheddar Curtain" on 6/4, for a couple weeks.

I'd be better off walking to Sentry World golf course and sneaking in to catch some of the big bass and crappie in their ponds.

The Sentry World thing sounds good, but aren't there musky in the river by Point? Seem to remember a newspaper story about a big musky choking on a carp in the park on the river.

Good population but recreational traffic on weekends drives me crazy. Use the river for short week day trips.
The golf course thing is impossible since they completely fenced it in. Many years ago my son caught a 22" LMB out of one of the ponds.

I’ll be taking advantage of you guys opening up a week before us and fishing somewhere on the st croix. Haven’t decided where yet but probably somewhere just downstream of Taylor’s falls. Never fished it, and can’t really find info on it but at least I’ll be throwing musky baits

We will probably hit a couple smaller lakes attempting to avoid the Memorial weekend crowd and mix up the fishing a bit. Temps on Minocqua were low 60's day before yesterday.

Boy I wish I was up North with you guy's! It's off to the west side of town to put flowers on the graves, but at least there's a good pizza place to stop in after the work is done.

Much respect man, hope you at least get to stay dry. As long as there's no thunder or lighting, we'll be miserably happy in the cold rain tomorrow. I wish you better than that this whole weekend!

Fished Green Bay on Saturday. Boated a nice 47 1/2 inch female before the wind picked up. Caught on a 4 inch spinner in 4-5 fow. Recovering from Covid so didn't get out the rest of the weekend.

Its been a slow week on the Manitowish Chain. Water temps in the low 60's. Havent landed any and have only had a few follows. Thosev we raised in shallow weeds. Fishing for walleyes equally slow. WINDY!

Not sure what lakes you.are fishing but it sounds like the guides are concentrating on smaller darker lakes I would hit those on the chain.
