Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Hey all....boredom at work has led me to start taping some podcasts (see a bored Panda ends up just doing more work). We've published a conversation with Steve Herbeck and one with Dave Van Dorn of Take A Vet Fishing so far.
Tonight I will be talking with Chris Taurisano of T-Bone Guide Service and next week sometime I will be catching up with Joel Michael, pro guide in the Central and Southern WI areas.

Location: Miller time Wisconsin. | I would recommend interviewing Chuck Altimore, a retired Wisconsin guide who with his extensive knowledge has put clients on muskies all over Vilas county for decades. The last time I spoke with him was a few years ago in his bar at Star Lake Wisconsin, Stillwaters. I sat in his boat for a whole day over 20 years ago and he taught me more in one day than I can collectively recall from all other books and magazines combined. His personality and muskie experience combined would make for a very good podcast. I cant say if he is open to doing this, but I will say that if he did do it, it would be a highly entertaining and educational. Steve W knows him well. |

I would recommend interviewing Chuck Altimore, a retired Wisconsin guide who with his extensive knowledge has put clients on muskies all over Vilas county for decades. The last time I spoke with him was a few years ago in his bar at Star Lake Wisconsin, Stillwaters. I sat in his boat for a whole day over 20 years ago and he taught me more in one day than I can collectively recall from all other books and magazines combined. His personality and muskie experience combined would make for a very good podcast. I cant say if he is open to doing this, but I will say that if he did do it, it would be a highly entertaining and educational. Steve W knows him well.
See and that is why I posted. Haven't chatted with Chuck in forever, but we used to talk all the time. Pretty sure he did some live chats a life time ago.

Maybe you can score some Wisconsin or Minnesota DNR folks. Somebody who might know the trends around Muskie fishing without boring us to death with stats. I think we get quite a few guides already so that wouldn't get me to tune in. |

b. feel like we do sooooo much of this at the Chicago and Milwaukee shows...

| I'd like to hear some podcasts with the folks who understand genetics, reproduction, and habitat so we can all get a handle on what it takes to build and sustain quality fisheries. We've beaten the how/where/when/with what to death over the years...
Even the best anglers are limited by the quality of the fisheries they have access to, and without an understanding of what makes a lake tick and how to effectively manage it we're stuck with simply wanting better fisheries to happen somehow. Until we can agree on how to make that happen, any efforts we make as a collective are just... Noise. |

| Smity and his son Jake. A seasoned, old school HOF angler/guide/lure maker that is still in the business mixed with a bit of modern day wisdom from his young son Jake. They're both great guys.
