Subject: PowerPro ?

Hi Guys / Gals: For the last two seasons I have been using the same PowerPro (60/80) on my reels, Am I pushing my luck for a third season next spring or should I re-spool?

Re-spool , 3 years is pushing your luck.
$30-40 bucks is cheap insurance.

John,
Did you reverse the line after year one or did you use the same side both years? If you didn't reverse the line the other end should be pretty fresh. I use Tuff-line most of the year and then switch to mono late in the fall so my hands don't freeze (one exception being the rod that the bulldawgs get thrown on. You need no-stretch line for that). Anyway, I reverse the line the following year and get two years out of my line. I'll be re-spooling all of my rods this year with new line. One suggestion would be to do some reels on alternate years so you don't get hit with a whopper bill every few years.

Thanks Guys, I think I will respool this spring, Powerpro is some nice stuff much better than the days when you had to respool 2-3 times a year

Respool with PowerPro. It's the best.
