Got a new golder retriever pup and named him "Shady" without recalling that's also Steve Cady's nickname.

Now I've got to figure out a way to appologize to the dog.

I suppose unless the dog meets his namesake, he will never know the difference. shady, in case you are wondering, that is an honor. Back in the old days, when a man wanted to honor another, his horse or dog acquired thye same name, as children were proportionate to availabe women, which meant a shortage.

If I were to have another son, to honor him and my friend's name, I would name him (insert line form Johnny Cash tune).

Just joking, of course. And Shady (the person) is a jokester himself, much more than me.

However.....

I'm still waiting for my opportunity to major revenge on Shady for soaking our boat with his trimmed motor at the dock at the '02 Cass Outing. He threw about 500 gallons of SANDY water all over us and our gear. Twice. I was able to mostly protect my reels. Think I was in Theedz's boat at the time. He be messin' wid my stuff man.
