It's almost two seasons with little/no american fishing pressure on Canadian waters. What do you think the effect(s) will be on muskies and other species?

I heard a podcast with Steve Heiting who said the fish still behaved the same but have heard others say the fishing was better overall.

to me there was zero difference in August when I was up this year..in fact some of my most consistent spots from the past were dead...but this had to do with water and weather conditions, it'll be very similar muskie fishing to the last time you were there

For a group of us going to Mylies in Sept, it was near the same as it's been every year for us (except for 2020) with the usual movement of fish here and there. Weather and wind always does that. It's never the same two years in a row. In fact, we've caught more fish on other years before Covid. Make your usual plans for 2022 and you'll be fine.

No effect muskie fishing. Low water arguably made it tougher this year. Walleye fishing was better however, especially not having multiple boats on spots

I spent 10 days fishing LOTW in September. For me I thought musky and pike fishing was as good or better.

However i really thought that basically 22 months of fish seeing few to no lures , fish not leaving the system and allow them time to grow would be amaz8ng for the walleye and perch...... i was very very very disappointed!! Worst trip for size and # of fish I had in like 12 years! However I’m wondering if mostly had t9 do with the low water? It was down a good 4’.
