just wondering if these would work ok for heavy jerkbaits and if you use a solid wire or stranded for these baits for leaders? thanks again karol

I use a solid wire Leader when using Jerkbaits. For line with Jerk baits I tend to go the old fashioned route and use Cortland Musky Master in 36lbs test. I use the 65-80 lbs superbraid stuff for other lures.

I use the #80 whiplash and a 9" #174 solid leader for my jerkbait fishing. I really did`nt think it nessisary for the #100

All you will need is 80# line, as far as color I prefer Cortland Spectron in green. I use nothing but 7 strand leaders on all my baits, I think you get more of a natural look.

I like 80lb if your using a 5600 size reel but a 6500 size reel I like 100lb on it.
