Posts: 2317 Location: Chisholm, MN | I’m sounds defective. I’ve used one with a friend that’s had many big fish in it with no issues

Posts: 2008 | there are at least a half-dozen YouTube video's of fish swimming through nets (not just this model but in all cases you can tell the nets are "lite" material) ...I'll take a heavy Big Kahuna..you'll never have the issue you described.

Posts: 1710 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | IAJustin is right. Heavy netting is harder by yourself, but it won't tear. I have had my Frabill PowerCatch for 15 years or more and the bag is as good as new, but not as stiff.

Location: Athens, Ohio | I had the same weight / bulk problem with a Power Catch - too heavy and combersome for one guy who is already a klutz. I took the bag from the Power Catch and put it on a lightweight aluminum frame - that solved the problem for me. I think it was this one: https://www.cumingsnets.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=294 either the ult. striper or catfish net. m

Posts: 268 Location: Central Pennsylvania | If you want a net with a really heavy duty coated bag, get a drifter xxl or xl. I have the XXL and I was bothered by the weight, at first, because I shore fish constantly. Eventually, I realized that with the extra weight comes less worries of fish getting out.
