Would anyone see a potential problem with this? I am considering getting an 18 footer and wonder If i'd run into any problem using it to fish muskies.

Dude, I sold one I had 3 months ago....a 16ft. Lowe semi-v w/ a 30 Johnson + really liked it. I had it rigged w/ rod holders for trolling etc. + it did well on water that was not too rough plus it was agreat river boat also. I'd be hesitant on really big water though. If the lakes you fish aren't too big it may work for you. I had a nice casting deck front/back w/ carpet + a 44lb. thrust Motor Guide + Lowrance...get more advice from the guys up that way![:sun:]

Thanks Spongebob, thats was I was hoping to hear. Lots of flatbottoms around here since i'm inbetween two rivers, one of which is the biggest in the country. Strangly, I don't see many v's around. I can always get a 16-18 foot jon boat and tow my 12 footer behind it to hold all the gear.

When I worked for the DNR I used there big john boats to fish muskies. Actually did real good out of them, they were stable and you could pull yourself around with a suick. But not much for rough water, infact they shake the begeezzzers out of you.
