Went this afternoon and while there I saw Tony Grant, and Muskiegirl 2000(Karen D). I recognized Karen by her fingernails. The paint on them, Todd! The PAINT on them. Tony already looks tired, and he has 8 weeks of these to go! hehehe

Not very busy between 4:30 and 7:00PM while I was there. I did stop by Matt from Artistic Angler to look at his work. Very nice and he has a show special for repro's at $10.00/inch. That would put Eric's repro at around $495. hmmmmmm I'm thinking this is a pretty good price, and delivery would be right around his birthday.

I also saw Morley and Jeanette from Sabaskong Bay Lodge. That was the purpose of my visit. They said to say hi to all, and are looking forward to seeing us next August again. They were bragging to everybody that was at the booth about all the fish we caught. Only 2 pics were in the photo album from our group, so if any of you guys have some pics, please forward them.

I also went to booth 924 to see Musky Fever, but he wasn't there! What the hey, Ralph? I figure maybe you are only doing certain days? Sorry I missed you tonight. See you at the Milwaukee show!

Overall, I think the Milwaukee Sentinal Sportshow is better, has more stuff, more boats, more people, and BEER!

Are you sure there is no beer there? I was going to go tonight - I may change my mind.

Thanks

I have to laugh at the importance that people place on having beer at an outdoor/fishing show. I like having a beer as much as the next guy, but if I'm going to a show it is secondary.

Of course it is secondary, but you gotta admit, that when you want a break, or want to get together with a group of guys, it sure is nice to have that option available.

And I doubt you like beer as much as the next guy. Not if I'm the next guy! hehehe

Homer, I didn't see anyone drinking beer. I was right by a concession area, and didn't notice any beer sold or consumed.

Shep, no doubt I would like to have a beer at the shows. I just get a kick out of the number of people who seem to put it first.

ah, you see, if I would read all the posts, I would have caught that you were pointing out the fact that somebody would NOT attend if there was no beer. Guess I had too many after the show when I got home! hehehe

I will be heading to the show saturday. Shep is right, the sentinal show is better but that's ok, the sport shows get me through the winter.

Shep do you think if we painted our nails we could catch some big fish like karen does?:-)

I went to the show and bought a couple of gapen's new musky lures and fell in love with Bobber Anne. She's great to talk to actually.

I wanted to fish the trout pond but they would not let me launch our boat. It was hard enough dragging the crestliner 1850 by hand through the crowds. I am not sure what the big deal was, it's not like I was going to GPS the hotspots.
