Posts: 120 Location: Roscoe IL | like the over long title says. if you were going to order a boat, what would it be. Must be glass, 2-3 person boat. whats the best for the buck (not that any of them are now) ive been looking at the skeeter wx1910 an acquaintance jut got a new one rigged well for 63, not bad in this day and age. What says the rest of you? what would your choice be.

Posts: 1209 | 1910 is a nice boat, I do like the warrior 193 (200hp) and the warrior 198 (225hp) Warriorboatsinc.com Edited by Fishysam 5/17/2021 8:07 AM

Posts: 1031 | I think Nitro and Ranger would be the two I'd look at in that 19 to 20 foot range. New or used. They will just take the Bay better than the others. Skeeter, though, has a lot of plusses for it in that size range. Yah, I'd throw Skeeter in there, too. I run a 619 VS and it is perfect for lakes and the Bay. I love it. My buddy runs an 1880 Ranger, and that is a good one, too.

Recon i guess i should have thrown in there too, buddy has one of hte big ones (2185 maybe? and its a nice boat) I havent been in a 985 yet. Ill have to add them too the list. part of me says order a new 620. the FS would be overkill probably. a VS would be perfect maybe i should be looking at the newer 2080s

Posts: 357 | i still think the 690 series Ranger are the best boat for what you stated. Followed by the shallow hull 620's. If i was getting something newer id go Tuffy 2060, there is a lot of bang for your buck in a 2060 i dont think the bass pro Ranger is going to be Forrest Wood Ranger. Already seeing that in some customer service for older boats. Edited by RJ_692 5/18/2021 7:29 AM

Posts: 32826 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Check out the Lund GL series as well. Walleye guys really like them. The 189 would fit the bill. https://www.lundboats.com/families/pro-v-gl/189-pro-v.html#photo-gal... 189 Pro V Starting At $53,085* With Mercury 150XL Pro XS 4 Stk as low as $510.09* /month

I have a 96' stratos 219F. im trying to find out what the base price on the 1890s, 2060s, and 2100s are, tuffy has the worst website i the boating world, hands down, their boats are very popular here in southern wi. Id like ot have one, but i dont like feeling that its a privelage to get info from a company that im looking at spending a lot of money with

I did however have very good luck with the company answering emails i sent asking questions on some used boats i was looking at. So i changed my mind a bit. They answered many random questions i had that they really wont have needed to for a guy shopping the used market. As an example with older Rangers you used to be able to email Ranger for parts or with questions with your VIN, you could get any parts, paint codes etc you needed easily. Now you get directed to dealers which i dont have a decent one anywhere close, and most dont know or care about any older boats. Im still bobbing around in my Ranger and will be likely until this crazy boat market calms down...but Tuffy is my next boat

The responsible side of me says, wait a year or two for this economy to really regress, and buy someones baby at firesale prices. The other part of me says, ive never seen a brinks truck follow a hearse. Im only 37 but i like to have nice well maintained things. realisitcally unless i start fishing canada or greenbay much more frequently my 19' glass stratos walleye boat with a 150 intruder is perfectly find especially considering its conditon.
