| I posted this in the fishing reports forum by accident.
Can anyone tell me about the Dick Gries Striker? There is one on Ebay right now and it looks great, but it's awfully expensive ($60+). Can anyone tell me more about this bait? Rare? Catches fish? Thanks.

Location: oswego, il | Pastikas had them at the musky show for 16.99 I think. They are a jerkbait, has some side to side but not like a glider and some vibration thrown in too. Nice bait, not worth 60 bucks unless you want to collect it. |

| I second Todd.
If you really want to give 60 bucks for them, I've got 2.

Location: Belgium | I use a couple of the Jr's and most dive straight ahead with a little wiggle, not like a crankabit wobble, more like a bill lewis rattling lure's wobble.
You can crank it back, fish it like a suick, use harder snaps to make it dive left/right (that's why it is mistakingly referred to as a glider).
Not worth 60$ though but the large size is really hard to find. It took me 2 years to finally find one and then I got if from an American gentleman who's name escapes me at this moment. But I was grateful for it. |

Location: Greenfield, WI | The bait was, in the larger sizes, an effort to throw. The finish on the later models was torn up easily by sharp hooks, but the bait was quite effective at least for me.
I have an early model which I had found at a bait swap, that has no signs of use (hook smiles or teeth marks). It is hand signed as a "Striker by Dick Gries".
Is the bait worth $60? To collect maybe, to use definitely not! There are a number of baits on the market which would perform similarily and hold up better to the use.
