Like the title says, does a pair of these actually exist that doesn't interfere with casting? What have you all been using?

Thanks

whatever they are using to handle the dry ice for shipping the covid vaccine might be worth looking into.

Ice Armor gloves is what I use. They are bulky but my hands stay warm.

The only thing I can really cast in are wool fingerless gloves. I like to bring two pair as they eventually get saturated.

I have had the Kast Steelhead gloves for a few seasons. They aren't that warm, and I don't like casting in them. Great for running the boat, and trolling though. I use them more for ice fishing. Nice gloves but expensive.

I've recently tried the NRS Hydroskin gloves and love them for trolling, running the boat, and ice fishing. It's possible to cast in them as they're so thing, I still prefer woolies for casting.

I use a light wool glove liner on the hand I grip my fore grip and a wool fingerless on the hand I reel with and have a couple pairs in the boat and I wear Joka Therm Ice fishing mittens between spots.

I bought a pair of Glacier Glove, Ice Bay neoprene gloves based on a recommendation on here a couple years ago. They fit very snuggly, are warm and waterproof. I can cast with them without much difficulty. Takes a bit of getting used to but you can certainly cast with them. I have had to add a bit of Shoe Goo rubber on the thumb because the line over time wears on the neoprene. Have also used for ice fishing, and have enough touch to hook up crappie minnows with them.

I'm with "the Ninja" and Chuckski. I wear fingerless wool gloves when casting. I put on heavy wool mittens with hand warmers pouches between spots. My Dad wears surgical gloves underneath his wool gloves to keep his hands dry, but even that feels strange to me.

It depends too on how long you cast and if you hold the foregrip or palm. I am not running and gunning so I am casting for long periods only to break to eat or warm my hands, swap a reel. I palm so the reel sucks the heat out of that hand. Thin gloves don't work for me.

So I was right in thinking that they don't exist at least to perfection. I fish from the banks and nonstop cast and swap baits then cast some more. Wool gloves are a definite no! I'm not going to wear bulky soggy gloves their is no point . I'd rather fish bare handed. Those hand warmer packets are a joke and don't do a #*^@ thing as far as heat. I bought some and tried them out when it was in the 40s ( in my pockets, inside gloves) completely waste of a buck! I'll have to checkout a few of those pairs that were mentioned above. Thanks

This 100% works,,its just not cool or name brand trendy
Get a pair of all wool gloves,,make sure to check the label to see what percentage of wool they have in them the higher the better.some brands advertise themselves has wool gloves with very little wool actually in them
Then get a pair of rubber dish washing gloves that are slightly more thicker then the cheapest ones and wear them over the wool gloves I like the ones that come up past your wrists and are black to absorb some of the sun.
The wool keeps you warm and the all rubber keeps the water away from the wool,
It works!!

I have used similar to "hooker" (post above) for 15 years now and it allows me to be out all day in November. Casting.
I use jersey gloves or wool gloves under staining/finishing gloves. The big orange or green or black ones from hardware stores. (about $3) Swap out the inside gloves once or twice a day. Put small handwarmers inside when it gets stupid cold.
The key for me is to find big enough latex gloves that are not tight. Works well for me.

Really need to try a pair of Youngstown Waterproof Winter Plus gloves, or any of the WP gloves from Youngstown. I throw in a hot hand pack in each glove and you have warm dry hands all day. They dry out really fast too.

when casting in the fall in cold weather the main problem is the temp of water and keeping your hands dry. whats been working for me here in canada are the rubber gloves the mechanics use. super thin strong as hell. easy to use any equipment. your hands will still get cold but you'll have some comfort for long periods
