For those of you that have tried the newer version.
What are your thoughts on them?
Are they that much better than the old version to warrant the jump in price?

Other than custom rods I've only seen these and bulldawg pro series rods rated for the truly heavy baits. (Production)
Anybody have any experience with the bulldawg pro series xxxh rods?

What rods are you guys using to throw pounders?
Why did you choose that over another?

Just thinking about down the road which models to look at if I decide to toss the bigger baits.

Thanks in advance

Ps. This truly sucks no shows!!! I have sooo many questions and a weekend full of the passionate hunters would help out greatly.

Well...I am not typically a believer in hype BUT when I picked it up I cold not believe how light the 9’6” Shock n Awe was and I bought it. I have the older version and love it. Haven’t fished it yet but I am pretty sure I will love it.

Was at the PA show last year. I picked up the 9'6" could not believe how light it was so I bought it. I used it all year fell in love with it very nice. Would buy another one with out a doubt.

I have a 9 foot 6 shock n awe 2020

My only complaint is that the "24 oz" maximum rating is optimistic. I tried casting a 24 oz 16 inch line thru trout with it and the rod simply does not have the power to handle such a lure.

Otherwise its a nice lightweight rod that handles monster medussas, pounders and other lures in the 10 to 18 oz range very nicely
