Fished Lake Shelbyville Friday and Saturday with Sunshine and KLY. We started out trolling, with no luck. In fact, we found it to be quite expensive, as we lost 3 lures, including my favorite Believer, to snags. I did manage to acquire a crappie colored Ernie, stuck on the top of a stump, 3 feet out of the water. If the draw the water down enough, I think somebody is going to find my lucky Believer! If you find it, please notify me. Reward!! Marked lots of baitfish and big hooks around them, but they weren't biting. We started casting shorelines, and Kly got a 34 on Friday on a Suick, and I had a follow a short time later. This was 3-3:30 PM. Friday night, we got together with BuckEyes Fan and Plitzzzz at the Motel.

Saturday, we fished hard, and never saw a fish. Kinda wierd with NO weeds, and all them trees and eroding coves and such. It was a good time even with out much action, and I'm glad I went. Here's a pic of the MFers that were there. Thanks for the info and help, Buckeyes Fan! See you in March.

Shep,
Sorry to hear about your losses but I have something you might be interested in to help you keep those losses to a bare minimum. I'll be at the Chi town swap, Jerry

Jerry, I believe I may be interested in one of those two. We lost our dearly beloved depth raider this year that's given us at least 25 net jobs in the past two seaons.:-(

JLR,

It is 282 miles from my house on the south side of Milwaukee. About 5 hours, and not too bad a drive. Good road all the way there. We left at 3:00 AM, and after stopping for licenses, and at the motel, we were fishing by 10:00 AM. I would suggest you contact Buckeyes Fan, as he does pretty good down there, and is a great guy. Gave us some good info, and ideas to try. When are you going?

Hopefully the next time you're going. I'm boatless until April...
