Posts: 20216 Location: oswego, il | Last night there was about 12 people logged on this site and nobody in the chat room. Last year, same night there was over 100 people logged on and a nearly full chat room waiting a return of sponge to the site. Maybe we can get him to pop in here on new years eve every year.

Posts: 4266 | Sponger is alive and well. I got a Christmas card from him. No deer pictures, but a picture of his son. Sponge is a smart man and he will know when it's time to come back. It's easy to sit down and spend time on these boards every day. When it starts getting in the way of your real life, it's time for a break. I catch myself blowing off my daughter sometimes because I'm "busy" at the keyboard. That is not healthy. That's bordering on addiction. It's that same obsessive compulsive behavior that sent me to AA meetings. I say BRAVO to Sponge. I miss him tremendously, but I applaud his strength and determination. He'll be back when he's good and ready. Beav

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | We could always try to go after Sponge's weakness. We could provide a set number of Payday candy bars and diet Cokes for a set number of posts by Sponge. It could be 2-5 posts = 1 candy bar, 5-15 posts = 1 candy bar & 1 diet Coke, etc! This would seem to be the perfect trap for the Spongemeister!!

Posts: 20216 Location: oswego, il | Beav, I have to say musky fishing in general is obsessive-compulsive. I sure am glad it's not alcohol, I would have to sign up for a liver of the month club, although I may be considered an HR-whore before too long.;-)

Posts: 1 | Todd, if memory serves me correctly the other reason there were so many people on, was because we were all trying to get the first post of the new year for a net or somthing, and Mr. Pike won. But I do miss Sponger
