| Illini..Funny you should say that. To be honest with you, when I made this bait, small Ohio type shad lakes were what I had in mind. The bait is smaller than most. In fact I was originally going to call it the 'Cold Front Shad' because I thought its smaller size would be great when it got tough. Good fishn, Jon |

Location: So. Illinois | Lake of the woods this August. Second cast after putting it on (Pearl) I caught a 43. Next spot, first cast caught a 44. I would say that it works great.

| Thanks guys. As for Grosse Isle I assume you mean Michigan. Andy's Tackle in Melvindale might have a few but I would call first. Michigan Musky Shop has some as does Sportsman's Direct. Plus the bigger online shops. Thanks again! Jon |

| I used a pearl Hot Orba for a couple hours last weekend. No action, but I loved the way it looked in the water. Nothing else got bit either. I'm sure it will be a good lure for me in the shad-based lake I fish.
I'm going to a clear Canadian Shield lake next summer (Kishkutena). What are your thoughts about its effectiveness in a situation such as this? Any color suggestions? |

It looks like in the picture of the torn up Hot Orba the front hook is T'd. Do you typically "T" the hooks on these or other Bondy baits or does it just look that way? |

| I had an opportunity to throw the Royal Orba this fall a couple times out and I instantly fell in love with the action and profile of the bait in the water. Moved some nice fish with it too. Im going to pick up one of these Hot Orbas as well. The profile of the Bondy baits look real nice in the water. I wish I had the will power to commit to jigging a Bondy bait for a full day or too. I feel it could be real effective for my fishing style but its a little to stationary for my liking. But some of these casting baits I have been using from Bondy I have really come to like these baits alot. |

| Gregg! I got to use the bait twice this fall on slow days and it moved fish when nothing else was moving them. My closest lake is 1.5 hours away. I pry used it for a total of about 5 to 7 hours maybe. Maybe my comments came off wrong. I clearly said I think the Royal Orba looks really good in the water with a nice profile. It has a great profile with a really long tail and two nice blades in the back. A lot of water displacement and the profile especially in darker water is really what I would assume is an attention grabber for fish. So to answer your question. No I have not caught any fish on it but I have got them to chase on very slow days with very little use.
I fish tough Minnesota lakes and don’t have the pleasure of getting out when I want and knowing an instant pattern. I catch about 5 fish a year and lose about the same amount or more every year. When I get follows on baits I have never used I consider it good information for myself and a credit to a nice moving bait with a lot of movement going on with the bait. I will smack one on it next year or maybe with the Hot Orba and I will be sure you’re the first person I tell that I caught a fish on the bait. Or maybe I will get one on Vermillion this weekend and my comment earlier can be a little more valid I guess.
