Posts: 256 | Although it does make me wonder, if abu managed to squeez in 30 pounds of drag in a revo reel, what performance will we be seeing in the revo TORO lignup in the next few years

Posts: 353 Location: Western U.P. | To anyone that has held the new Beast 40... is it's physical size larger, smaller, or the same as the older model Revo Toro (or NaCl) 50? Can't really tell from any of the pics or video out there, and no size comparisons yet, but it does look like it may be larger than the previous Beast model. Thanks.

Posts: 555 Location: Tennessee | I took some of the Pure Fishing guys out this past winter down here in TN to field these 40 Beasts and I will say they are a fantastic little reel with plenty of guts. I haven’t fished the 300 Tranx although there was one for comparison and for its size I never felt a lack of confidence in anything I tossed on it. Been fishing them all year since then with zero mechanical issues. I usually use the high speed paired on a Veritas 9’ bass model for lighter stuff and it casts like a rocket. Biggest fish on them so far in my boat was a 47 and it handled it no problems with all that drag.

Posts: 555 Location: Tennessee | I’ve thrown a lot of Llungen 22longs, chad shads, etc on it, some of the larger Slammers, shallow invaders, Mag imvaders, and some others. It hasn’t disappointed. I recognize it isn’t my Tranx but it’ll do anything a 50HS Toro can do IMO

Posts: 21 | On one of the test reviews that I saw on YouTube the drag maxed out closer to 21 lbs, but it still seems to be a good all around reel.
