Posts: 1310 Location: Washington, PA | I would have to say the 8' Aurora Steve Worrall rod. And no, I'm not sucking up, just an all around great rod.

Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | 6'9" St Croix Premier with the garcia 6500. I can cast almost anything on it and have never had a fish I couldn't control with it once I hooked the fish.

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | #1 Hand built Ryan Jinkerson 7'6" MH(Loomis blank from Cabelas). Love this rod for tails twitchers standard cranks, and 4-6" glide type jerks. #2 8' All Star MH(my topwater and spinnerbait stick) #3 7'6" premier St Croix, both the old stlye and new(old for cranks and top, new from big jakes and Reef Hawgs and other jerks and duckies). Posts: 4266 | If I could only fish with 1 rod for the rest of my life, it would be a 7'6" MH St Croix Avid. I can throw damn near anything with that rod. Beav

Posts: 1536 Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | I have a pair of 7 foot Sage rods built on the 569 blank. This is quite possibly the best Muskie blank of all time. (IMHO) I also have a 7 1/2 foot Diamondback Bucktail rod that is great but I think that I prefer the Sage rods. These things almost cast themselves. I also prefer the 7 foot length as it just seems to be easier for me to handle. I fish out of a low profile "Bass" boat so I am closer to the water. The 8 footers are just to long for me to fish with easily. Reels are Calcutta 251s for the Sages and a 401 TE on the Diamondback. Sweeeeeeet

Posts: 1189 Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | 7'2" and 7'6" St.Croix Premier.....to choose only one would be the 7'6". Getting good enough at glide baits now that that rod will work, use it for everything else: cranks/hair/topwater.

Posts: 391 | It is a tie between my 7'2" thorne bros diamond back and the old blue gloomis gl2 7 ft mur844c. Thanks ToddM never thought I would find another However soon it will be a new 8 ft thorne bros diamond back heavy. Thanks Jonesi for forcing me to buy another rod. I can't wait to throw my own. Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | My favorite rod is a 7'2" Thorne Brothers Diamondback MH rod works for everything from a 5" Slammercrank Bait to the heaviest of jerkbaits, with equal ease.

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I would have to say my 7'2" St Croix Premier. I will be picking up the 7"6" this year and maybe an 8'er. Little Tuffy has a 7'6" to 8' St Croix, that bombs the top raider out. Have to pick that up. Good lungen, Joel

Posts: 440 | I find myself picking up the 8' MH Fig Rig for more and more presentations. I have thrown everything from the 10" Beleiver to a Lit'l Ernie with it. Even threw a couple gliders with it. I think if I had another 8'MH and 2 Med actions I would get rid of my other rods.

Posts: 87 Location: Wauwatosa, WI | I seem to always go back to my st. croix 7' MH with an abu ultra cast and 80' power pro. don't know why I'm more comfortable with this combo than any of my other st. croix rods. it just catches fish... Bob Ryan
