Posts: 3926 | Not that it matters much to most of you - but tomorrow I leave the UP to live again in beautiful southwestern Michigan. Many sudden changes have stormed along, and I have little choice but to flow with the strong currents. I'll be back on line in a while. Oh, anybody want to go steelhead fishing with me on the St. Joe River on Sunday?

Posts: 5874 | Ranger, Good luck to you and the family in the LP. Guess this will put a little crimp in your ski fishing, but I'm sure you will find someplace with stumps and ski's down there. If things go as planned, I want to make a trip to St Clair next year, and you are most welcome to join me.

Posts: 827 Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | Best of luck to you and the family Ranger. I feel your pain as you know with having to leave musky country but like you've told me, it'll all work out in the end and you were right. I'm going home December 29th with a better job!!!! Thanks for the words of encouragment over the last year and I know everything will turn out on the sunnyside for you also. And hey, next season if you find yourself in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area I expect a call so I can clean up the back of my boat for ya.... How far is the St. Joe river from Chicago? Take it easy Ranger.

Posts: 1335 Location: Chicago, Beverly | The St Joe is about 2 hours from Chicago I think. Depending on what part of southern Mi Ranger is heading to the Webster area Musky lakes in Indiana might not be to far. Also, I hear Diamond Lake in southern Mi has a good Pike population.

Posts: 196 | Good luck to you Ranger. I'm sure it will be hard for you to leave your backyard honey holes...you practically have all the muskies named in those lakes by now. You always have a welcome seat in my rig (ha ha) if you ever want to venture up to the area. I hope your family is excited about the move. Wish you the best.
