I would think twice about the Gorilla braid. I had bought it maybe 10 years ago and the first spool I bought was ok. I recommended the line to a friend because it was realtively cheaper. His spool got fuzzy quick and ended up so weak you could break it by hand. He found out the hard way with an olympic record cast and a displaced lure. I thought maybe he just got a bad spool so I gave it another go and sure enough fuzzy, weak, garbage. I would go power pro, spectron, or tuff line. I know you didn't ask for opinions on Gorilla braid but I would hate to see a 32 incher with a lure and 25 yards og fuzzy gorilla braid swimming around. hj

Gorilla Braid has been discontinued for 10+ years. I assume you are talking about Gorilla Tough which is a line that Berkley came out with about two years ago. To put it nicely the old Gorilla Braid was crap! The new Gorilla Tough is completely different. It is thicker than most other braids with a "courser" weave very similiar to dacron.

Thanks for all the advice. The reason why i was interested in the Gorilla tough was that it´s sinking. Are there any other braids out there that are sinking?I wouldn´t want to get the gorilla tough if it´s crap.
