| Hey guys, Just like many of you , my Dad and I's annual Canadian fishing trip is most likely not going to happen due to the border closure. The week we have booked is Aug 8th-15th. Does anyone out there care to make a few suggestions on lakes/areas stateside that have good numbers of smallies and Muskies where my Dad and I may get that special Canadian feel? Not looking in northern Wisco since that is where we usually go, so most likely MN or Mich. Been to the Big V before and really like it, but just worried about the crazy crowds, but it sounds like that it what it is like everywhere this year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated . Tight lines... |

Location: Athens, Ohio | Alaska may be the only US state with water temps <80* right now. No muskies there, tho. m |

| I have a real soft spot in my heart for the Cisco Chain outside of Land O Lakes up in Vilas County. Has a similar look to Canada. Lots of water. Smallies. Crappies. Walleyes. Pike. Musky. Bents Camp is great. I've also enjoyed Jay's Resort. You don't necessarily need a guide, but I'd recommend calling Rob Manthei to show yah around that place early in your trip. |

| What vegas said. I know u said not in wis, but the chippewa and flambeau flowage is fairly big water. Maybe choose an area that you never fished before on those two flowages? Did that back in the 80's and it was like a whole new adventure. Kdawg |
