There appears to be some interest in having powered camera stick on the boat. My main video setup is no longer but I do want to have a simple stick on the back of the boat when fishing alone so I can take remote pictures. I have built a couple of these for friends and thought I might share same here.
Materials
stern light of your choice
the one show is a telescoping unit and I would not recommend it. Camera mount does not fit the narrow top well and the coiled spring wire in the tube is a pain to work with.

12 volt to 5 volt inverter. Most cameras use the USB Micro type fitting

Volt meter to determine polarity - wire color does not indicate correct polarity

Tubing cutter, wire cutter, silicone and heat shrink

Depending on the choice of stern light you can put these together for $40 to $75
