| Was supposed to head to Eau Claire this morning to finish the season with Jason and Curly. But, yesterday I was playing fetch with my Lab and he pulled up lame. Vet says it could be a torn ACL. I have an appointment this morning.
He's 12 years old and my little baby so I'm kinda worried. I had to put down my other Lab last year (also at 12) due to cancer. Don't think I could handle that again so soon.

| Lots of luck your way, Scott. I had to put my Golden Retriever, Aiko, down after 12 years of his unconditional loyalty and love to me. A dog that was smarter than many people I've met. That was 13 years ago and I still think of him a couple times a week. |

| Hope things work out for you and the pup, Scott. I know how you feel. I lost my last lab 3 years ago. I am looking for a new Lab right now. Think I have my mind made up, and the little one should be ready to go around the first of the year. |

| Prayers are coming from this way. Hurts me to hear of anybody having to deal with dog problems. Gives me that lump in my throat and can't talk for a minute. Those critters sure do find special places in a guys heart. |

| Well, just got back from the Vet. He did blow his ACL out. Doc Joe is very sure that he'll be able to repair Doc (the dog) with no problems. Doc Joe gets referrals from numerous area vet's for his osteo surgery skills. Said he performs an ACL build 1-2 times a week. Doc is very healthy for his age and, outside of allergies, has had no medical problems in the past. It's gonna put a dent the boat savings for next year though. Ahhhh, he's worth it.
Talking about the surgery Doc Joe said they use 80# mono for the rebuild. We actually got into discussing the use of TuffLine or similar for the same. The mono is less resistant to infections because of the smooth surface though.
