My wife’s uncle has a house on camp 12 lake outside eagle river. He has to use a walker to get around and my father in law has congestive heart failure and uses a pacemaker. They want me to take them fishing so they can catch a musky. My brother-in-laws also want to go too. So as much as I know the rules in Illinois and Ontario, I tried to read the WiDNR laws online and I’m confused. If I’m understanding it, I can have 3 life’s out or a total of 3 hooks, so if they are trolling a 3 hook crank bait they can only have 1 hook on them but can then have 3 lures in the water?
On a side note, is anyone aware of any fishing guides in the eagle river area that use pontoon boats? I can’t get her uncle in and out of mine and would have to rent a pontoon boat for him.

Thanks,

Mike

When trolling or dragging suckers in Vilas County (Eagle River) it's one trolled line per person with a max of 3 per boat.

For example, 4 guys in the boat, you only can have the max of 3 trolled lines.

1 line per person, max 3 lines per boat. So 1 guy in boat =1 line, 2 guys in boat = 2 lines, 3 guys = 3 lines, 4 guys only 3 lines still.

Yes correct. Three lures per boat. Doesn’t matter the number of trebles on those 3 lures .

Not many lures with more than 3 trebles anyways...

I just wanted to make sure I didn’t have to remove any of the hooks. Last thing I want is them seeing their favorite In-law getting a ticket. I appreciate all the help guys.
