Manitou Dan acquitted himself well last week. Casting well and effectively into many nookies and crannies. He can poach fresh water with the skill of a DougJ, and in fact I had to change the angle of the boat to cut him off, more than once!! He brought a group of killer baits with him to the fray, but unfortunately for him, I vacuumed the water clean before he got a chance to throw to a fish. He also left me with a good Manitou Dan story to tell. I won't tell it here, but I will give a small quote, "The good news is that they're cheap, they only cost $7."  I have open decks for Wed and Thursday, and the muskies ought to be a jumpin(as soon as you set the hooks). It looks like all the KY great lakes ought to have decent water quality on those days. Let me know if you want to go, its a tough job but somebody has to do it. I can take 1 or 2 people pretty easily. I will even let you take the first cast.....sometimes. Manitou Dan let me know when you are free again and we will take another shot at the new KY state record. If you guys get a chance, MD is a good guy to fish with, steady caster-keeps chuckin til dark, brings food, good conversationalist. What more could you ask? | |||
