Great stuff thanks for posting!!

First summer as a cabin owner on Vermilion tried to book him--was already taken---Classic response from Tom---"Dude you don't need no guide--if it looks fishy, fish it"

Really nice guy---spent time talking to me about the lake knowing I would not book him--Old School for sure---humble--not taking himself too seriously--refreshing in today's Musky world.

A great lake with lots of really good Musky guides who actually live on the lake--imagine that!

Also if you haven't seen the piece by Ron Shara (Spelling?) on utube featuring Tom--that is a classic!

I was looking at booking a trip with Tom last year, but my trip up there fell through. Fishing with him is on my To-Do list.

Good laugh anyway. Seems like few months ago took Chris N. out, NOt that long ago.
Freaky the way yer brain works with time.
I posted just 4 fun to whom ever needed a smile, makes me smile....Friend sent me that post from while back just for fun to make me laugh. How did he find it, no idea, but he always was a Stalker!!
: )
Silly to me, but fun junk life throws at ya.

Did not broad cast it , I'm actually Still Alive - Well - I'm well n alive n getting better from out of the blue Afib heart crap that shut me down hard in May.
7 day intensive care sucked.
No fishing opener, no anything fun most all summer ...but wrestle with my Bonnie an the Marauder boys.
They do great work in that unit of heart care special people of doc's n nurses...amazing people and they "GOT ME", joined in on the humor an story's an it made that stay not as much sucky, but it is not my party to hang in a bed an do nothing for a week hooked up to trees of beeping machines an tubes going in an out and bla bla bla.......I was a bit peeed but well,,,,I'm a great patient an do as told.
Food stinks in there, I'm mean really stinks but the fruit is fresh n jello fun to watch wiggle, like few of the nurses.
: )

No idea what they do with all the blood they suck out of ya at all hours of the day an night, I checked E-bay.. ..none being sold there.
Maybe they add it to the tomato soup???
: )
Tests tests an more teats, MRI, Catscans, Echo this n that, stress tests of two kinds, but really they or it was kind of fun to do them n learning about all this Afib junk that tried to take me out.
Freaky.
I'm telling ya when I went home Wore a Zoll Defibulator vest 74 days all summer Just in Case heart acted up from me pushing to get my Tommy Power back, hooked up to huge battery, totally sucked but was able to go to island in August, lil bit in September but did not want to push it.
Still on 6 different drugs but slowly dropping amounts in each pill so that's cool.

Never did drop Big Black Boat in lake, pontoon it around, fish a bit an hang in water or on dock. Marauder Boys Max Power n Fred Fred Bear had a blast an Bonnie just laughs at us an tolerates all the mini troubles we get into.
Gotta love that Bonnie. Good life eh.

Slowly getting my oldschool TOMMY POWER back as ridin my bike 5 miles in AM & 5 miles at dusk, n lost 22 pounds with that an low sodium diet an no fast food or junk.
Easy to do after a week of wonder WHAT THE &^%$ Am I doing Here?
: )
Doc says I do, so far kicking it pretty good.
That Afib side of heart was only pumping out 22 % Now with hard work n me being tuff as a donkey nutsack Afib side is working at 46 to 50% & %55 is normal...just takes time.
No blockage or stints or cholesterol or attack junk...just caught a virus an well it sucked an it is amazing what the human body can do an take.
Lucky good insurance as bill after deductible has reached over $115 K - Ouch.
But I'm worth as I been told an dogs still dig me, Bonnie didn't Unplug me, an I'm even more handsome than in April an you all can laugh at this stuff an that makes me smile also.

Miss these boards for fun muskie speak but just lost my edge an interest after not guiding few years. Still do fish'm n love to teach the younger people who act how I do junk, when n where an why....basic stuff to keep them interested n having fun n understanding being frustrated. I enjoy that, always have.
I have drifted back to simple stuff like wallys, sunnys n Crappie n bass an check'n out young female #$%!
: )
The music made me do it is what I tell Bonnie, she cranks up my AMP, cracks me one in the brain, shakes her head n smiles at me n the Boyz...everyone is happy.... an life goes on.

Keep on rocken!

Tommy

Hey, ever think a lot of people in groups outside bars or on city corners are %$#holes?
100% true.
Drive by an yell out Hey #$%holes.
EVERY one of them will turn an look at you, a bunch might even run after you to invite to be one also.
: )

Be well.

T

God Bless you, Tommy, and thanks for sharing your story. I was told I had AFib abt ten years ago, good meds and laying off caffeine has helped a lot. It sounds like you are getting your mojo back, take care and look to next season with the glee that says, 'I"m still here!" m
