I have the Stowmaster, but did not like the bag at all. It is light enough but a lure can get hopelessly tangled up in the fine mesh bag resulting in it taking way too long to get the fish free. Bad deal for the fish. I replaced the bag with a Frabill 4666 which is heavy but enables quick release of the fish. I use a lighter non-folding net when I fish alone.

I have both the T116 Stow Master and the larger folding Frabil. My T116 is at least 10 years old. The original bag was much better than the one they use now. I put a 4666 Frabil on it when it needed to be replaced. This net gets the most use. I bought the large Frabil Folding net when Dicks was clearing them out for $65 2 year ago The bag that comes on the folding Frabil was a joke. Very thin. Lots of opportunity for hurting a frisky fish. I replaced its bag with a Big Kahuna Bag. I think the Stow Master is a better product. I am not a fan of the Frabil stuff since Plano bought them out. Just one mans opinion...

I bought mine in spring of 2017 from Amazon so I don't really know what year it was built. But I do think the Frabill and Stowmaster have similar bags, the thin mesh I don't like.

I’ve had both and for the yoke and hoop you want the frabill. The stowmaster is bent at the yoke like it was put in a vice. The frabill is mandrel bent. Yoke in the frabill also bolts to the hoop so it doesn’t come loose as easy. Rivets in the stowmaster loosen quickly.

I put a Promar replacement bag on my Frabill and have been very happy with it so far. Much stronger than the original and doesn't tangle as bad.
