Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Happy to report my new 14" Tubby Tubes are ready to go! I only have about 12 of each color but soon will be ready to ship a LOT with 200+ per color in my 21 colors. They are not up on my website yet but will be by the weekend. The first ones I have are not in retail packaging either but I am sure the musky won't care. Cool thing about these is the harness. You can clip or drill holes in the twin cross weights on the harness to make the lures run shallower and also more head or tail heavy if you like. This tube also has a nose treble hook since by my findings about 80% of musky will strike the head of tubes. Should help increase hook ups! Also real easy to change out the twin tail so you can change up color combos. The tail is on a cork screw assembly just like my topwater baits have with the rubber tails. Here are the specifications on it: $14.99 retail Tubby Tube Lure Specifications: - 14 inches long and a BIG profile - 6.5 oz. in weight - Weighted for a more balance fall not a heavy nose fall like other tube lures - Pad printed and/or air brushed for ultra realism - Super strong trailer cable wire with a 3/0 stinger hook - 6/0 nose treble hook for head strikes (80% of musky strikes are at the head) - Mid 6/0 treble for body strikes - Big bulging 3D eyes and protective flexible clear coat - Ultra heavy tempered stainless steel triple split rings - 21 fish catching colors! - 100% of the profits are donated to USA Veterans and Children's Charities http://www.tackleindustries.com/ Bass Pro and other big retailers will be carrying these and the new Tubby Jr. 10" model in 2020. James the baits look very good! Hopefully this taste of winter disappears and Nov. is a mild month to fish and film.

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | The skirts flow with the water and the tails stay out more vs "wiggle" but they also flutter in the water. I will have video from Todd (www.luresinaction.com) as soon as I get him some lures to shoot for me.

Posts: 30 | So it's easy to make them nose heavy though? If that's the case, this might be the ticket for a little vertical presentation a friend and I have been using....

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Yes, you can make them nose heavy or tail heavy. Two ways to do it. One is to clip off part of the weight on the harness or you can also drill pilot holes in the weight washers. OR you can also add egg sinkers to the internal harness up front or towards the rear of the harness. Nice thing is, the egg weights are inside the tube and hidden. I will go out and remove a harness and modify it and snap a few pictures this weekend. Taking the kids trick or treating right now.

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | I only have a few of each color right now but the ones I will have in a month will have the cable embedded in the tail so this will keep the cable in line with the tails. during casting and retrieve. Had to modify the molds but that is done now.

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | 10" Tubby coming in early Spring 2011. Molds are almost done and then I hope to test some prototypes before ice. Same 21 colors as the 14" Tubes. May move both up to 42 colors in late 2011 if they do well.

Posts: 203 Location: Minnesota | You defintiely need to do something like White Tailed Walleye for all of your rubber lures line!!!

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | For my SuperDs I do have replacement tails and white is one of them and on the Tubby Tube you can just unscrew the tails and put on a new color. Mix and match

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | LOL at a 20" tube! Maybe only in 16 colors Todd is also going to entice a 55" to take a Tubby on film. He promised me! James

A 55" on film would be good for both of us! Tomorrow they get the stage so I should have some sample clips for you tomorrow night.

why there is not a single vid about tubby tube to see how it move ? how fast does it sink vs jimmy ? im i wrong or there will be totally new super d colors in production to replace lures in clearance ? maybe it's time for me to stop playing as a kid addicted to brands. i have never tried a single ti rubber lure. during 80'S it was the lacoste, and ralph lauren madness . it was just x10 the price of a regular polo just because of a lil crocodile. was it a better quality clothe? not at all sometimes even worst than some no name brands. sometimes i feel like i have not change that much . that being said, even if some of us have never use james lures i think we better be thankful to him . im sure a guy somewhere would asked a lot more money if james would not be here and quality would not be what it is ....... price are already high for plastic so imo 50$ would be really imaginable without ti. i hope guys will understand my romance

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Almost 16 years and TI is still here Early on my company started making the SuperD. Got sick of the major brands I was buying falling a part before I caught one fish. The lead harness would always pop thru the head of the lures. No returns to my local North Minneapolis retailer either who pushed them super hard back then and still does. Lost all confidence in the lures and retailer....so, I took a part one of my damaged lures and noticed the harness inside has ZERO holding capabilities once the swimbait was poured around it. I took a pencil and formed a coil of wire around it and soldered it to the harness and re-poured the bait. Went outside and smashed both against my sidewalk and the "Brand" bait fell a apart in about 30 seconds and mine was rock solid... The SuperD was born! See below for my original video of one of my first production lures. I also was shocked at the prices from what is cost to make these lures. So, I priced mine about 30% less and have priced most of my lures 30%-50% less even though the lures are a similar or better quality than leading brands. Rapala spends about $50M+ a year just for advertising an dpaying Editors to write about their tackle and millions more on executive bonuses, etc so that is why you pay such a high price for brand baits today (example). What profits TI does make pay for my family to live a decent life and then we use the rest of the profits to support a variety of charities for Veterans and Children's foundations and hospitals via donations of tackle to events. Been a fun ride for the last 15+ years!!! TI also makes lures, rods and other tackle for 38 other companies now so most likely some of the lures in your box have some TI in them supertrollr My video from 2008 on the new SuperD harness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VoULL0UT38 ***Please note, this video is very old. The brand name lure in this video next to the SuperD has really stepped up their game since this video and they now also use a coil harness in their wimbaits. If you do recognize the other lure please do not think this is the same lure they make today...its not. The lures made today by this company are rock solid and very high quality... Just an FYI. supertrollr - 8/25/2019 8:57 AM why there is not a single vid about that to see hoe it move ? how fast does it sink vs jimmy ? im i wrong or there will be totally new super d colors in production to replace lures in clearance ? maybe it's time for me to stop playing as a kid addicted to brands. i have never tried a single ti rubber lure. during 80'S it was the lacoste, and ralph lauren madness . it was just x10 the price of a regular polo just because of a lil crocodile. was it a better quality clothe? not at all sometimes even worst than some no name brands. sometimes i feel like i have not change that much . that being said, even if some of us have never use james lures i think we better be thankful to him . im sure a guy somewhere would asked a lot more money if james would not be here and quality would not be what it is ....... price are already high for plastic so imo 50$ would be really imaginable without ti. i hope guys will understand my romance
