Ive done well with topwater or grinding rocks with crankbaits in a heavy algae bloom. Good luck.

Could try a Krisco. Really loud crankbait. A lot of guys I've seen comment about them being one of the best baits they've ever used, even some respected guides. To be honest, I haven't had much luck with them. Not sure why. One of those baits I hear a lot about being productive for most everyone except for me. They are cheap too.

Or a tandem spinner bait with a big 10 Colorado blade that puts out a lot of thump like a Rad Dog.

Suicks are loud baits. The hooks make a bit of noise hitting the body when pulled.

Suick's have been good for me in Very heavy bloom. Especially this one in 9" and 10":

Had never tried that color before this year have 20 musky in the boat on it so far all in very green water.
Shallow Invaders are good also they have rattles in them.
Another good crankbait in bloom is this one:

it is killer casting and trolling in very dirty water. My best crank last 2 years in green water. The Ice cold perch one is good also. Baits are good after dark too. The thump they put off is incredible.
Spinner baits can be good as well as smaller bucktails with out throwing 10's this double 8 as well as double 9 in this color is great in real green water:

Good luck

I’ve had good luck with jointed depthraiders. I think an angry dragon chatter bait would be an interesting choice too.
