Subject: Lake Wingra




Looking to get my son a chance at his first muskie this weekend. Is Wingra a fishable or is it too weed chocked right now? I have never fished it so not sure if Wabesa/Monona would be a better option. Size doesn’t matter, just looking for some action. Thanks for all advice!

Went there wed. Water is crazy dirty. Didn’t catch or see anything. Weeds bad in spots too. They closed the beach there yesterday due to blue green algae and bacteria.

Par for the course at this time of year. Didn't the CCMI guys take a couple hundred carp out of there a few years back?
