Location: Shawano, WI | last fall right before the end of the Wisconsin season, my motor was idling very high around 1200 rpm according to my tac. I took it to the shop this spring. And finally got out last weekend. It was running fine for about a day. Then the other morning it started idling kind of rough. Like it would with fouled plugs or water in the gas. Then after running from one spot to the next the idle would not go back down again. Idling at 1200. Obviously I don't want to run the boat and slam it into gear. Does anyone know why this is occurring? Is it the computer or TPS sensor compensating for the crappy idle? Does anyone know if it's something I can solve without taking it to the shop and waiting another month? My plans are to try draining the gas and adding fresh premium and seafoam to start. |
