We were in the same boat as Mr. Chinewalker. We did hit Silver on the way home though, and I banged a fierce fighting 14"er on a jerk bait, and we raised a 30" class fish and saw one other small one there. The Chain and Silver were like night and day with the water color. Did have plenty of good laughs though.

Hey Robby,

Seriously man, out of 10 musky anglers, no one even saw a fish. NADA, ZIPPO, ZERO, SQUAT! I know it sounds hard to believe, but it is true. Water temps anywhere 55°-57° depending where you were on the chain. To quote Luke while I saw him on the water, his comment was "I think if any of us are goint to get a fish today, its gonna come from Jewel or Dominicks!

It was truly dead out there. Not even a chamber of commerce fish!

Thats too bad, I guess I picked the right time to get sick. Then again if I was there, maybe that might have changed the luck, but I doubt it.

I almost forgot. Tuffy Jr. caught a #7 silver and black shad rap with about 80 yards of 40 lb bright green line. Secret weapon, trolling a Jake in 12 feet of water. This was a kept catch though. Couldn't get him to release it. It was almost bigger than the fish I caught after at Silver.
