I have a big Frabill net but it's so big it tends to get in the way in my 16.5' tiller. I usually just lay it on the floor but I'm always stepping over it. I have a piece of PVC pipe that works for smaller nets but I can see snagging a lure in the big net when casting for Muskies.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Just let yourself get used to stepping ON it. I have fished with several guides who use the Frabills and they have all said that it won't hurt the net if you do. I have a 14' boat myself and have to step on my Beckman to get around in that.

I have a 14 foot boat I use in late fall and early spring and have a Beckman Magnum Musky net so I can relate. I attached a 2x2 to the center seat and front platform on one side (parallel to the gunnel of the boat about 4 inches from the side) in the front section so I can stand the net on its side and have the handle easily accessible. It keeps it standing on edge to that side of the boat and I don't lose much floor space. Works for me!

I have the Big Kahuna, and yes it does take up a lot of room.

Keep the net open, and put the bag loop on top of the out board. Lay the handle to the side, and it is completely out of the way.

This way your net is already open, and the handle is facing you.
