Should my approach be any different when fishing a lake with Hybrids vs a lake with natural muskies. I am going to fish a new lake next weekend with my brother (both of us are novices) that I have been told has hybrids (see my post on Thunderbird Lake Illinois) but I have never fished for hybrids before. Do I need to downsize, use one bait over another, should my approach be different since fall is setting in etc.... Any assist you experts can give me would be appreciated. I would love to put one in the boat for a quick CPR.

As a general rule, fish for them more likr you would fish for pike. they seem to have alot of their traits. If i were fishing that lake, I would troll bagley monster shads or cast similar sized baits. There are also hybrid stripers in the lake too.

I have boated 3 tigers in Wi. so far this year and all have come on a FunkyChicken spinnerbait! Maybe its just dumb luck? or that I started to throw spinnerbaits ALOT more? I have some buddies that got some decent Wi. tigers on shallowInvaders too!

Todd, Handy, Thanks for the feedback. I ended up having to postpone my trip due to unexpected surgery. Hope to go next week after I get back on my feet. Will post and let you know how we did. Thanks again.
