My brother has invited me to go fishing with him next Sunday at a Lake I have never heard of -- Lake Thunderbird Illinois. His in-laws live on the lake and told him the lake has muskies. My brother has fished this lake for several years (crappie, sunfish) but has never tried muskie fishing and had never been told before that this lake has muskies in it. His father inlaw told him there are muskies in this lake. He invited me to fish the lake because I have all the muskie gear. Has anyone fished this lake or can anyone verify the lake has muskies in it. Also any suggestions on how to fish it. Appreciate any info anyone can share.

I have seen the lake and my greatgrandparents used to live in putnam, not far away. It's a strip pit lake and very clear. It has hybrid musky in it and I believe the limit on them is 42". Should not be alot of boat traffic this time of year but the lake is completely developed and private. That's about all I know about it.

Keep us posted on how you do. A friend of mine has fished it a couple times this year but didn't know about any skies....
