Just bought a used boat that had a Minn Kota 70 PD on it. Replaced it with a Terrova but thinking of keeping the PD for a spare in a pinch. How many of you travel with or keep a spare bow mount around?

I have an Ulterra and a Terrova back up... never go on a trip w out both the terrova saved the day for us in the truck when my Ulterra went down and an hour later we put a 55.25 in the net... w out the back up we would have been drinking whiskey at the cabin.

Very close on the vote. I am guessing if you end up in my situation it is easier to just keep the spare than it is to actually go out and buy a second motor.

BNelson's answer summed it up for me. Guess I will keep the spare and hope for a 55.5.

Thank you all.

I would keep the PD.  For what it's worth ($ wise) it may bail you out on a trip, or while your #1 motor is in the shop.  I always carry my terrova in the truck on a trip.
