Location: Eastern Ontario | Anyone know anything about this date roll over on April 6, 2019 that will or could affect GPS units. I understand it will be mostly older units I sure don't want to replace 5 Lowrance Gen 2 units so if they are affected I hope they are quick with a firmware update. |

| The date rollover was last year and an update for Gen2 legacy units is available for correction on Lowrance site. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | There is a patch on the US website but not the Canadian. Apparently according to Lowrance Canadian support I shouldn't need it.

Location: Eastern Ontario | One of my units required the update. But surprisingly not the oldest units. A friends touch unit also required it. If your unit has stopped showing time and date it needs the update. the update is different for touch and non touch be sure to get the right one for your unit.

Location: Eastern Ontario | So this afternoon the friend that updated his touch unit last week called and said he had no GPS or time on his unit I took one of mine out on the deck and sure enough no GPS or time . I called Lowrance and the guy I was dealing with last week who told me the engineers had assured him there would be no rollover issues on the 6th said he was crazy busy fielding calls . He said the engineers were trying for an update by Friday. Hoping to fish maybe old school on Wed. depends on my other units will try them on the deck in the morning. Was also told units were built with components from 2 sources and only the one sources chips or whatever the part was called are affected. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | Looks like if you have a Lowrance GEN2 or GEN2 Touch and all Elite units you need a software update that is not yet available.Possibly other units check the list.You can sign up to be notified when available.

I'm not a happy camper the patch that I downloaded last week has been removed.
Not one word about this on Lowrance's Canadian web site you have to search for information.
