Random quote: After a day where I had a dead battery, had my trolling motor go out 2x, took out my lower unit I caught a nice pike. PK says "at least she has nice shoulders" I respond "that's like saying that fat chick has nice boobs (but I didn't say boobs)"

Well I got bored so I built something. Its pretty much a replica baby Boilermaker.. A single #8 bladed bucktail with a cedar topwater buoyant body on the shaft.. its about 9", sinks really slow, and bulges under the surface easy.. Should work good for me on the small water in the spring..

Beautiful bait. How hard is it to drill the bait for thru-wire? Where do you get blades like that?

Todd, got some cut up Raw blanks from my Headbanger bodies if you need. Hole already through. And a  Bottom hole if you want to hang a second treble below.

Here's a copy of a "Boiler Maker" from Lee's Lures that I made. Guess great minds think alike Jake.

It was all components that i had in my parts box from dead or otherwise disassembled baits.. im not sure where the blade came from.. it may have been a show color blade from a few years back ??
