Hunting Muskie.

If a person was to troll for Muskie from the season opener until October on Mille Lacs or Vermilion with one presentation what would you do?

Lure
Speed
Specific area's or the whole lake

I'm talking about chasing that "one bite" you will never forget. Would you travel the whole lake or break it into one area? Would you go really deep or look for the stray up in the water column? Would you use a flashy lure or something subtle? How fast would you troll? Would you look for a reaction bite or a hungry fish?

Also, do you have the resolve going for the one bite vs going for numbers?

All hypothetical questions, just looking to see what the hunters would do.

I’d get a pontoon boat bring 4-5 buddies along every trip, couple of 30 packs and some Iowa T-bones to throw on the grill, 5-6 lines out on Mille lacs all season long, we’ll find her eventually. 3.5 to 4.5 mph most of the season drop down to around 3 mph in November . Believers, grandma’s and supernatural’s that’s it

Have a neighbor who actually does something similar with his pontoon. In northern WI, can't have that many lines but he puts one out the back in prop wash, one out the side. When taking guests, he goes slow anyway, so why not try and catch a fish while cruising? He doesn't do it a lot but has got more per hour fished doing this than he has casting from his fishing boat.
