Looking for somewhat cheap options, Mylie's Place has 16 and 18 footers, but they don't have bow trolling motors. Are foot controlled trolling motors needed, or is it doable without them?

Duck Bay Lodge has nice boats with bow mounted foot controlled trolling motors, but it’s kinda high $.

First rate service and food, and it’s right in the heart of some awesome fishing spots that are less crowded than some of the lodges to the south.

Me and Mauser stayed here four years ago. The boat was good for the waters, but the wind was still a problem for us in the open bays. I liked the depth / GPS with map chip and they also supplied a laminated hydrographic map (with muskie spots marked). Food was superb. m
