| I have a gen 1 Helix 9 SI and when I am 3ft or less it reads anywhere form 18-33 ft. Once I am in 4ft or more it reads fine. I also have the upgraded transducer. Any help or info would be great.
Thanks |

Location: E. Tenn | I just started having a similar issue today with my Helix 10... between 9 & 15', over harder bottom. I did notice the frequency in normal sonar mode was low.. I'll dig into the manual sometime tomorrow, as I'm preoccupied with my continuing study of Packers fans in their natural habitat...
...and right now, they are restless.

| its double bottom just adjust your max depth and it should go away. suppose to be a software upgrade coming out to correct I believe mine does the same thing but like miket said 9-15ft I adjust max depth to 30-40ft and it goes away. |

Location: E. Tenn | A software update came out earlier this month, and was again updated on 9/27.. Updated my unit, and problem solved.
If you haven't done a software update, watch the short video, and follow their directions.. |

| Also if your out in the boonies and can't update, raise the number in the "surface clearity" setting and lower the sensitivity a couple |
