Thank you,

fish are everywhere. it is a very healthy lake in that the water allows the shad to be in high density and roam everywhere (from what i've seen). aka there aren't really any dead spots in the lake. you can catch fish casting timber, shorelines with cover, open water, shallow water, and points, some of these are better at certain times of year but dont disregard any of them becouse of the time of year. as a starting point i would fish timber and points with baits that run deep, shallow, and big and small. when will you be fishing it?

in regard to depth i would say average is 25-30. there are very few spots with weeds but the ones that are there are community spots

Thanks Tanner. I was hoping to get down there in a few week's. Is there anything going on at the lake that I should maybe try and avoid? Also, is there a lot of recreational boating going on?

to be honest i have fished the lake at that time of year very little and being that the waters too warm to fish it right now i have no idea on the current lake conditions. the water is usually a little dirtier in sept then it is at other times 3-6 ft. so i probably wouldn't fish super fast, both with boat speed and presentation. besides that, all i can say is follow your gut and dont get in a rut. dang.. never knew i could ryme. there are people that know the lake far better than me but i would say fishing standing timber would be a safe bet. try to fish the stuff that not many people are going to fish though, the timber closest to the boat ramps gets pounded. assuming that your fishing the f8 tournament, i wish you luck.
