Location: Madison, WI | Hey guys, I recently got a new heavy rod for throwing plastics like regular sized bull dawgs, medussas, mid medussas, and Bondy Royal Orba jr, etc. What kinda of reel would you guys suggest? And for gear ratio as well? Would a reel around a 5:1 ratio be best, or something faster? Thanks a lot for the help! |

Location: Waukee, IA | I bought a new Komodo 463 this year and absolutely love it so far. They also make a higher speed reel in the 471 komodo that would be even better for rubber. $225 online |

The 471SS is a great reel for big rubber, I use it for Monster Medussas and Magnum Bulldogs.
Spool up with 80lb braid and let it fly. |
