It seems that recently there have been a number of Big Girls caught so just out of curiousity how many here boated a big Girl(50+) on what, how deep, type of structure, time of day ?

I got mine on a Chartruse/Black Voodoo Tail, less than 5ft. deep, Mix of sand-rocks-weeds, 5:35 PM

Almost all of the 50"+ Muskies caught & released by myself and clients have come from deep structure trolling,25 feet to 35 feet down,in late November!

I haven't seen a 50 yet this year but fall is soon approaching. Last years biggest was 51" caught on a 10" Believer on shallow setting (6 feet deep) trolled over 18 feet of water on a rock shoal drop-off in November. Most of my big fish are caught in October and November in 14 to 25 feet of water with a shallow presentation (trolling shallow running cranks and jerks).

Steve-

I do not think John MD was giving personal stats, rather the stats as others had reported on the thread.

Caught a 54" on a sugartale in Aug.

4-5 feet of water, sunny out with light southeast wind.

Day before full moon.
