| Hey guys,
Creeping up on the Northern opener here in WI.
I currently have an 8'6" H rod with a Lexa 400HS. I figure this will be good for jerks, cranks, glides, etc.
Where should I go for #2?
I'd like another 8'6" and Lexa but for throwing big blades and rubber. Kind of at a loss on action and gear ratio.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Location: Elk River, MN | The lexa 400 pwr-p is great for big blades with the lower gear ratio, lots of guys prefer higher ratios for rubber to get the line pickup quicker on the jerk/rip reeling. If you've already got the HS then a lower geared reel would be a good addition to your lineup.

| Depending on how you work your rubber baits you might want to look at a high speed reel. Lost a fair number of fish while reeling in slack line on the drop with slower reels. |
